AT&T Austin Downtown Crit - June 16, 2007 - Pro, 1, 2

The setting sun made for some challenging lighting during a very fast race. I don't normally post pictures that are blurry or out of focus, but as the sun went down on this cloudy day, the racing intensified. I've posted the pictures taken into darkness so you can see how it all went down. This was an awesome race.

The only Junior in the P12 race, 17 year old Joseph Tokarski stayed in his Junior 52-14 Gear for the entire race, afterward saying he might as well have been on a single speed. Average speed 27.4 mph, finishing an impressive 28th place in the fastest road race I've ever photographed and he's ever raced. He's warming up on the course in this shot a few minutes before the start.
